There are a variety of traditional pubs within the immediate area of Roney. One may stroll to 'Briens' of Killenagh, a traditional thatched pub or visit one of the oldest pubs in Ireland simply named, 'The Post Office'! In the Summer open-air entertainment is provided and the nearby 'Sean Ógs' offers traditional and ballroom dancing.
Attractions
Centred around five beautiful river valleys and bound by an interesting sea shore the Sunny South East, well renowned as the 'Model County', offers a host of exciting attractions for all. Wexford boasts many historic castles, such as Johnstown Castle with its beautiful gardens and display of antique farm machinery and the Castle Museum in Enniscorthy with a collection of memorabilia of the 1798 rebellion. The Wexford Heritage Park, a few miles outside Wexford town, at Ferrycarrig, depicts life in Ireland from the Stone Age onwards. The John F. Kennedy Memorial Park, located in New Ross, offers peaceful and tranquil gardens with a variety of beautiful plants and trees. A wildlife reserve is located north of Wexford harbour where many rare species can be seen. County Wexford offers a wide range of activities to cater for all interests available with many Blue Flag beaches, angling, and climbing on the Blackstairs mountains. There are six championship golf courses and several links and parkland courses all within easy driving distance. Wexford also offers a wide range of water sports, windsurfing, canoeing on the River Slaney, and scuba diving. Renowned as a 'Horsey' county, Wexford offers a fine selection of equestrian centres with hunting a popular winter sport. The Wexford Races are held regularly throughout the summer months.
Wexford Opera Festival, a world renowned and spectacular event, occurs from mid October to November. A number of other festivals can be enjoyed including the Enniscorthy Strawberry Fair, and Gorey Summer Fair.

Willow Lodge is a charming traditional country cottage recently restored
and refurbished. It carries a 4* rating from Bord Failte. Great care
was taken to make the cottage comfortable and desirable for short
term living. The exterior remains in its original style while the
interior is finished like a modern apartment with all the conveniences.
There is one double bedroom, separate bathroom with bath and shower
and a spacious kitchen/living room fully stocked. Cable T.V. and video
supplied. The cottage is within the grounds of the owner with its
own private driveway off the public road. Sleeps up to 4.

Balheary is a townland on the fringes of Swords town in a quiet rural area less than 2km away. Swords is the nearest town to Dublin Airport. Swords is a busy town with a large shopping centre, plenty of pubs and restaurants. There is also a medieval castle and many historic places of interest.The nearest beach is 5km away. Willow Lodge is a 'home from home' with bed linen and towels, hairdrier, iron and ironing board - all supplied free. Metered electricity extra. Food pack supplied on arrival. A courtyard in front of the cottage provides ample secure parking. There is a hard tennis court on site and 2 golf courses nearby.
